Church of St. Cyprian and St. Ustinov
Located in the village of Meniko, the Church of Cyprian and Justina is dedicated to Saints Cyprian and Justina, venerated for their miraculous powers against witchcraft and evil spirits. Perched on a hillside near Kakopetria, this church is famous for its steep wooden roof, a distinctive feature designed to protect it from heavy snowfall. Dating back to the 11th century, Agios Nikolaos tis Stegis (Saint Nicholas of the Roof) is adorned with some of the best-preserved Byzantine frescoes in Cyprus, spanning several centuries. The vivid depictions of Christ, saints, and angels offer an artistic and theological journey through Byzantine history.

Final Stop: Monastery of Saint John Lampadistes. Concluding our tour, we arrive at the Monastery of Saint John Lampadistes in Kalopanagiotis. This monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a complex of interconnected churches with layers of frescoes dating from the 11th to the 15th centuries. The monastery is dedicated to Saint John Lampadistes, a revered local saint known for his miracles. The tranquil setting, combined with the rich historical and artistic heritage, makes this a fitting end to our journey.
