    About Choirokoitia

Choirokoitia sits above the Maroni valley in the Larnaca district, a short drive inland from the coast road. The modern village is small and unhurried, built on slopes of carob and olive, and most visitors come for what lies just outside it: the Neolithic settlement occupied since around the seventh millennium BC and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The village itself repays a slower look, with stone houses along narrow lanes and views back down the valley towards the sea.
